Hello, World!

Hey there – Justin here!

Welcome to the Steward’s blog, which is a place for me to share the many swirling and intersecting thoughts, feelings, and concepts that dart, swoop, and flitter across every corner of my brain.

This is where you will find project updates, educational deep dives, and personal musings. My goal is to get the stuff stuck in my head into a form that is accessible and enables people to see the big picture.

I believe our minds are like ecosystems, and I'd say mine’s a lot like a wetland.  Wetlands are places that seem a bit messy and all over the place at first glance – kind of like my brain on a busy day (or really any day).

All the birds are competing thoughts –  some puttering around aimlessly like ducks, others intrusively loud like woodpeckers slamming their faces into trees. They can be noisy and chaotic places, filled with the croaks of chorus frogs and the buzzing of dragonflies, much like the constant whir of ideas and daydreams in my head.

Beneath that unruly exterior though, they’re interconnected to form a greater design. There’s a method to the madness. If you take the time to wade through the muck, you'll find a rich tapestry of life and a surprising depth of ideas, ready to contribute to the world in unexpected yet – in my view – vital ways.

So, while my mind might not be a pristine, orderly forest, it's got the heart and soul of a wetland – a little wild, a little weird, but full of hidden treasures that even I can’t claim to fully understand. But I intend to try!

I promise you, the long-term vision I see is crystal clear (unlike the swamp water in our current project – we’re working on that!), and this place is where I will attempt to paint the picture for anyone willing to take the time to listen.

Be curious!

For Harvey, always.
